Canada Permanent Resident Visa or Skilled Worker Immigration Eligibility
Canada is one of the most popular destinations for immigrants. If you are one of those who dream of a better life, growing your career, and learning new stuff, then Canada is the ideal place for you.
Since Canada is immigrants-friendly, it is not too complicated to get a Canadian permanent resident or PR visa. As long as you have all the qualifications and specific conditions for approval, Canadian immigration can grant you an opportunity to stay in the country for good
To further help you out, MIS Consultants will guide you on the essential qualifications and factors to know if you can apply for a PR visa, such as professional or employment background, educational attainment, language proficiency, etc., for eligibility.
Express Entry Immigration System For Federal Skilled Workers
The Express Entry Immigration System implements skilled federal workers with minimum qualifications to let them submit their profile to the system’s express entry pool.
All the candidates who have expressed interest in applying for a Canadian permanent residency will undergo a ranking system. The applicant with the highest rank will be the one to get a direct invitation for a PR visa application. All the applicants or candidates who will receive an invitation to apply should comply with the requirements within a 90-day delay
If you are a skilled federal worker in Canada, how will you know if you are already eligible to apply for a PR visa?
Here are the necessary conditions for you to see if you have already met the qualifications or not.
Essential requirements to qualify
One year of ongoing full-time work experience (or any equivalent, part-time employment) within the last ten years. Your occupation should be under the 347 eligible jobs and professions based on Canada’s National Occupational Classification
Work experience classification should be within Skill Type 0 or managerial job positions, Skill Level A or professional jobs and careers, or Skill Level B or skilled trades and technical job positions following the definition of each
classification based on the National Occupational Classification System.
Gained a 67 passing score based on the six factors for eligibility among skilled workers.
Passed and gained an intermediate English or French proficiency of 7 (based on the Canadian Language Benchmark) under an accredited third-party language testing center.
Sufficient settlement funds
You passed a security background check and medical examination.
Six Eligibility Factors For Immigration to Canada
As mentioned, six factors determine your eligibility to immigrate to Canada. You should earn points between 67 to 100 to qualify.
You can gain the highest score for this factor, 12 points, if you are between 18 to 35 years old. The points will reduce by one until it reaches 0 if you are already 47.
You can obtain the highest points (25) based on your educational attainment. To credit your education outside of Canada, you need to get an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from any authorized agency to know if your diploma or finished degree aligns with Canada’s educational system.
Work or employment experience
You can get 15 points depending on how many years you have worked full-time (or any equivalent part-time work). The new program allows skilled workers to qualify even if they only have one to six years of full-time employment.
English and French are two languages commonly used in Canada. If you pass any of these language proficiency examinations (which include speaking, reading, writing, and listening) and reach an intermediate level, you can gain up to 28 points.
If you have a confirmed job offer for at least one year from an employer in Canada, you can earn up to 10 points from this category. However, you need to receive the offer as a skilled federal worker before submitting your application and arriving in Canada.
The adaptability refers to your study or work experience in Canada. Your relatives, spouse, or common-law partner with Canadian citizenship or PR visa are also under this category as they can affect your eligibility to stay in the country.
